V.M. Ramalingam


V.M. Ramalingam (Ram), a masters graduate (M.Com) with specialization in management, finance and taxation from Madras University (1964), has 36 years of managerial experience in organisations covering the fields of Manufacturing, Banking, Finance, Marketing and HRD. He is a Principal Consultant in “Group for Institution Development” (GRID), Bangalore.

A Professional member of Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Science (ISABS), Ram is a qualified behavioural scientist and a facilitator of Human Process Laboratories (T-Groups). He is trained for HRD Facilitation, O.D. interventions, and Assessment (Development) Centre in organisations. He is experienced for over a decade in administering and interpreting psychological instruments. He is a member of IOAC (Individual and Organisation Assessment Centre) Forum. He was on the staff of “Working Conference on Authority, Leadership and has been on the Staff role of Group Relations Conference (GRC).

Ram has exposure to experiential learning methodologies based on Gestalt Psychology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Synergogy, Institution Development and Organisation Sensing (ID & OS) methodology, Large Scale Interactive Processes (LSIP), Moderation Method, Transactional Analysis (TA) and T-Groups that are supportive of his Human Process Facilitation role. He has also participated in the Tavistock model working conference.

Ram has successfully completed the programme with M/s. Otto Kroegers (Facilitators of NTL program) in USA for qualification to administer, score and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type indicator (MBTI); and he is licenced by Consulting Psychologists Press (USA), the owners of the intellectual property rights of MBTI. He is a member of Association for Psychological Type (APT), USA. He has also completed programme on MBTI Step-II with Dr. Jean Kummerow & Dr. Naomi Quenk of Association of Psychological Type (APT). He holds Charter Certification in “MBTI” (The first batch of certification after going through Qualifying Programmes).

Ram is qualified from NTL on Whole System Change (Dr. Mary Eggars of Danmiller Associates / Dr. Lawrence Lippit), Appreciative Inquiry (Dr. Bernard Mohr & Dr. Cathy Royal) and Management Working Conference (Dr. Roger M. Ritvo & Dr. Munoz Marya). He is also trained in Enneagram (Dr. Tom Flautt), FIRO-B (Dr. Eugene Schnell), Element-B (Dr. Dick Thompson) and Open Space Technology. Further he is professionally qualified from Taos Institute and A.I Consulting on “Appreciative Inquiry” (Dr. Jane M. Watkins & Dr. Bernard Mohr). He was a co-facilitator of T-group / Management Working Conference at NTL, Bethel, USA during the summer of 2001.

Ram is associated with professional bodies in the disciplines of HRD, Management and Banking. He was an office-bearer in the Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Science (ISABS), Life member of Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) and National HRD Network. He is also an Associate member of All India Management Association (AMIMA). He has conducted MBTI based workshops, and programmes on Organisation Values/Vision/Mission, Appreciative Inquiry for OD and Institution Building, Strategy workshops, Creativity, Performance Appraisal, Assessment Centres, Team Building and Leadership for reputed Organisations, Multinationals, Banks, Non-Government Organisations and Educational Institutions. He is a visiting Faculty for MBA in BMS College, Alliance Business Academy-Bangalore and other Management schools. His interest is in the field of Human Process facilitation for Large Systems Change.
